The Hobby Course at the Government College of Art & Design Nagpur is a six-month part-time program for individuals who wish to explore and develop their artistic interests in a relaxed, inspiring, and creative environment. It offers practical learning in various visual art forms under the guidance of experienced faculty.
Designed for personal enrichment and creative exploration, the course includes studio access, mentorship, and hands-on practice in painting, landscape studies, portrait drawing, printmaking, and photography, helping learners build confidence, observation skills, and a strong foundation in art.
SSC-( 10th) Pass
Based on merit (10th marks )
6 Months
2 Days per week. 3 hours per session
20 students per batch
Introduction to materials, color mixing, brush techniques, and basic composition.
Study of outdoor scenes, perspective, and natural elements.
Basic proportion, facial features, and expression in drawing and painting.
Introduction to clay modeling, basic hand-building techniques, and creating three-dimensional forms.
Introduction to simple printmaking methods such as linocut or monoprint.
Basics of composition, framing, lighting, and creative visual storytelling
